Working closely with Mercer’s research, data analysis, consulting, and marketing teams, Margaret wrote the company’s inaugural and subsequent annual “When Women Thrive, Businesses Thrive” global research reports. The reports have positioned Mercer as a global leader in helping companies around the world understand the drivers of success in building gender diversity.

Since 2015, Margaret has worked with Henry Schein’s Corporate Communications team to write the company’s annual corporate social responsibility (CSR) reviews. Each review comprises data reporting, messages from leaders, interviews, and stories of the company’s work with partners to advance its commitment to its employees, suppliers, customers, and the larger society. The company’s 2016 review received the Colonial Award for Excellence from the American Society of Professional Communicators.
“Talent Mobility Good Practices: Collaboration at the Core of Driving Economic Growth,” World Economic Forum in collaboration with Mercer, 2012 (View Report)
As part of as series of reports commissioned by the World Economic Forum (WEF), WEF selected global human capital expert Mercer to conduct research into good practices being employed by corporations, governments and NGOs around the world to better align the availability and skills of talent with the needs of employers. Margaret was the principal writer of the research report, which included five case studies detailing good practices implemented by Bharti Walmart in India and Walmart Brazil; the National Association of Software and Service Companies in India; the Association of Southeast Asian Nations; the Toronto Financial Services Alliance; and Saudi Aramco. Working with a large team, Margaret interviewed case study subjects, synthesized research results and distilled findings. The report was completed in early 2012 and presented to global leaders at the WEF annual conference in Davos, Switzerland.
Annual Report for Global Finance Function
The parent company of a global professional services firm had implemented major changes to its global finance function. The function leader wanted to prepare an annual report to highlight the function’s accomplishments over the past year in better supporting its business partners around the world and plans for the coming year. Margaret was hired to write the report based on internal documents and interviews with the leaders of the various initiatives. The effort was a first for the function and raised its visibility and standing with its key internal clients and stakeholders.
